Heavy Rain Alert: All Educational Institutions in Sirmaur to Remain Closed on Sept 3

Nahan, Sept 2 – In view of the Orange Alert issued by IMD predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in Sirmaur district on September 3, District Magistrate Priyanka Verma (IAS) has ordered the closure of all Government and Private educational institutions, including Anganwadis, as a precautionary measure. Teachers and staff have also been exempted from attending. The order was issued under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, citing risks of landslides, flash floods, and public safety concerns.
