Kullu , Sept. 01 – Continuous heavy rainfall in Kullu district has affected public life and caused a landslide near the Primary Health Center (PHC) building in Bhutti, Lagg Valley. District Collector Torul S. Ravish inspected the site on Monday and issued necessary directives to the Health & Family Welfare and PWD officials.

The DC stated that immediate measures will be taken to secure the PHC building and restore health services. The landslide had also blocked a key road connecting nearly 20 villages across six panchayats. A 120-foot valley bridge is being installed in front of Bhutti PHC, which is expected to be completed in three to four days, restoring connectivity for around 8,000 residents of villages including Mangarh, Kalang, Shalang, Gramang, Teeyun, Dogri, Samana, Thach, Mashna, Nagzhor, Sajak, Telang, Kanon, Sheelani, Bhutti, Bhalyani, Badagran, and Command.

The DC emphasized that the continuous rainfall has caused extensive damage to government buildings, roads, bridges, drinking water schemes, telecom networks, and power lines. Residents are advised to avoid rivers and landslide-prone areas and seek safe shelters in emergencies.
