HPNLU Shimla’s Youth Red Cross Holds Orientation Session for New UG Batch

Shimla, August 31, 2025: The Youth Red Cross (YRC), Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, successfully organized its Orientation Session for the newly admitted undergraduate batch of 2025–2030. The session introduced students to the ethos, objectives, and activities of YRC, encouraging their involvement in humanitarian service, health initiatives, and community engagement.

Student office bearers, including Ms. Parul Bhalla (Secretary), Ms. Ashpinder Kaur (Joint Secretary), Mr. Vaibhav Bhardwaj (Vice President), and others, presented the vision, functioning, and future plans of the YRC. They highlighted initiatives ranging from health and welfare programmes to communication strategies and digital campaigns.

Romil Chawla, President of YRC, inspired the students to actively engage in community service, emphasizing the social responsibility of future legal professionals. Faculty Coordinator Dr. Rohit Sharma concluded with an address on the core Red Cross principles of health, service, and friendship.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the new batch, with an interactive Q\&A fostering inclusivity and student engagement in social service.
