All Educational Institutions in Solan District Closed on September 1 Amid Red Alert

Solan, August 31, 2025: Following incessant rainfall and a Red Alert issued by the India Meteorological Department, District Magistrate Manmohan Sharma (IAS), Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority, ordered the closure of all government and private schools, colleges, ITIs, polytechnics, vocational training institutions, nursing institutes, and Anganwadi centres in Solan district on September 1, 2025.

The precautionary step was taken in view of flash floods, waterlogging, and frequent landslides reported across the district, posing a threat to student safety and public movement. Institutions have been directed to strictly comply with the government’s safety guidelines.
