Heavy Rains: Schools, Colleges to Remain Closed in Kangra on August 26

Dharamshala, August 25 – In view of continuous heavy rainfall and the Red Alert issued by IMD, the District Magistrate of Kangra, Hemraj Bairwa (IAS), has ordered the closure of all government and private schools, technical institutions, colleges, universities, Central University of HP, NIFT Kangra, Central Sanskrit University Balahar, and Anganwadis (except residential institutions) on 26th August 2025.

Teaching and administrative staff have been directed to remain present in their institutions. Strict action will be taken against any violation under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
