Special Gram Sabhas in Kullu District on September 4, 5 and 6

Kullu, August 25 – As per Cabinet decisions, special Gram Sabhas will be held across all Panchayats of Kullu district on September 4, 5, and 6. The discussions will focus on transferring the 15th Finance Commission grants to the Jal Shakti Department for the operation and maintenance of drinking water supply schemes. Deputy Commissioner Torul S. Ravish has issued orders under provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 and Rules, 1997. Identified drinking water works of concerned Panchayats will be included in supplementary GPDP plans, with grants to be allocated to Jal Shakti Department accordingly.
