Heavy Rain Alert: All Schools & Colleges in Una Closed on Aug 25

Una, August 24 – The District Administration has ordered the closure of all Government and Private schools, Colleges, ITIs, Vocational Training Centres, and Anganwadis in Una on August 25, 2025, following an alert by the Indian Meteorological Department for heavy rainfall.

The order, issued under Section 34(M) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, cites safety concerns due to possible water logging, flash floods, and landslides. Heavy rains on August 24 have already caused disruption, including blocked link roads in several areas.

The Heads of all institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the order.
