Critical Care Unit to be Established at Sunni Hospital: Vikramaditya Singh

Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh conducted a surprise inspection at Sunni Hospital, where a 50-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU) is proposed under the PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. He instructed officials to modify the building design without unnecessary demolition and to complete formalities quickly for approval by the National Health Mission.
The CCU, with an estimated cost of ₹18.83 crore, will provide advanced emergency and intensive care facilities not only to Sunni but also to adjoining Mandi region. It will include ICU beds, dialysis facilities, emergency wards, and maternal & child care units. Singh also directed that vacant posts be filled and staff quarters be repaired.
On the occasion, he also handed over a cheque of ₹1 lakh from the Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation to the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, reinforcing the commitment to healthcare and community welfare.
