All-Party Meeting to Precede Monsoon Session: Speaker Pathania

Shimla, August 17 – Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania announced that an all-party meeting will be held at 12 noon before the commencement of the Monsoon Session to ensure smooth and meaningful proceedings. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, and BJP Legislature Party Chief Whip Sukhram Chaudhary have been invited to the meeting.

Pathania emphasized that the time of the House must be utilized for fruitful debates on public issues. He assured that both sides will be given ample opportunity to put forth their views, which will lead to far-reaching outcomes.

The Speaker informed that a total of 981 questions have been received so far by the Assembly Secretariat, including 793 starred (oral) and 188 unstarred (written) questions. Additionally, 13 notices under Rule 62, six under Rule 101, and 13 under Rule 130 have been forwarded to the government for further action.

On the first day of the session, obituary references will be made for former MLA from Chintpurni (Una) Ganesh Dutt Bharwal, with tributes being paid by the Leader of the House, Deputy Leader, and other members through speeches.
