PM Modi Stands as a Shield for Farmers, Fishermen, and Cattle Rearers: Bihari Lal

Una, August 21 – BJP State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always prioritized the welfare of farmers, fishermen, and cattle rearers, ensuring their economic security and growth.

Addressing a preparatory meeting in Una for the upcoming State-level Organizational Workshop of BJP to be held on August 24, Sharma highlighted that 9,74,486 farmers in Himachal Pradesh are currently receiving benefits under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. He also noted the recent announcement of the PM Dhanya Dhan Yojana, aimed at bridging regional gaps by focusing on 100 backward agricultural districts.

Sharma emphasized India’s rise in agriculture, pointing out that the country ranks first globally in milk, pulses, and jute production, and second in rice, wheat, cotton, fruits, and vegetables. Agricultural exports have now crossed ₹4 lakh crore.

He affirmed, “For farmers, fishermen, and cattle rearers, PM Modi will always stand as a wall of protection.”
