UHF Nauni’s Assistant Librarian Bags Award
1 min readSolan, March 5 – Yashoda Negi, Assistant Librarian in the Satyanand Stokes Library of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni has bestowed with Best Librarian Award by the Association of Agricultural Librarians and Documentalists of India (AALDI). The award was presented during the Golden Jubilee International Conference of Agricultural Librarians and User Community (ICALUC 2021) on ‘Management of knowledge resources centers in the Network Digital Environment: Trends Challenges and Opportunities’. The conference was organized by the university library, UAS Bengaluru under the aegis of AALDI in which 192 librarians of agriculture universities representing 21 states took part.
Yashoda Negi was awarded for her contribution in the field of library services. The award carries a citation and memento. Six technical sessions were organised with an emphasis on knowledge management, digital library, emerging tools, technologies and management, emerging trends in library and information services, information literacy and library user studies, IPR and LIS education and metrics. She also co-chaired a session and presented a paper on ‘Library Services to users during COVID-19: A study of SNS Library, UHF Nauni’.
Professor S Ayyappan, Vice-Chancellor Central Agricultural University, Imphal was the Chief Guest during the event. Dr. RC Aggarwal, ICAR DDG (Agricultural Education) also attended the event while Dr. S Rajendra Prasad, VC UAS Bengaluru presided over the programme. UHF Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parvinder Kaushal congratulated Yashoda Negi on bringing laurels to the university. Librarian Dr. DD Sharma, statutory officers and other staff members also congratulated Yashoda Negi on her achievement.
