Shimla, July 21 : A youth from Nerwa, Shimla, fell victim to a Dubai visa scam through a fake Facebook ad, losing ₹3.2 lakh in four installments. Prompt action by the police led to freezing the related bank accounts and full recovery of the amount. So far in 2025, Nerwa police have received 32 financial fraud complaints, successfully resolving several. Authorities urge victims to report such frauds immediately at Cyber Crime Helpline 1930.
