Sanskrit Essential for History and Future: Sanjay Awasthi

Bakhalag, July 6, 2025 – Addressing the Triennial Conference of the Himachal Pradesh Government Sanskrit Teachers’ Council at Government Senior Secondary School, Bakhalag, Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi emphasized that Sanskrit is the mother of all Indian languages and the essence of the eternal life tradition. He said Sanskrit education purifies human thoughts and promotes cultural preservation. Awasthi highlighted Sanskrit’s role in understanding religious, philosophical, and literary texts and its acknowledged importance in information technology. He urged the youth to embrace Sanskrit to stay away from drugs and adopt a positive mindset. He also shared the government’s efforts like the Y.S. Parmar Student Loan Scheme and steps to boost farmers’ incomes. Teachers excelling in Sanskrit during the COVID-19 pandemic were also honored. Awasthi announced a ₹21,000 grant for the Council and addressed public grievances.
