UHF Nauni Welcomes Golden Jubilee Batch of BSc Agriculture

The Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, warmly welcomed the Golden Jubilee batch of BSc Agriculture from the erstwhile College of Agriculture, Solan, along with several retired faculty members and their families.

The special gathering marked the 50th anniversary of the 1975 graduating batch. Twelve alumni along with their spouses returned to their alma mater to reconnect and celebrate. The reunion was organized by the UHF Alumni Association. The event was graced by Prof. JP Chatrath, a revered former professor of the university, who, at the age of 95, attended the celebration as the Chief Guest.

Prof. Rajeshwar Chandel, Vice Chancellor of the University and Chief Patron of the UHF Alumni Association, welcomed the alumni and former faculty at the Alumni Engagement Centre. He expressed joy at the return of the university’s former teachers and students. “It is heartening to see our esteemed alumni and faculty members revisiting the institution and witnessing the progress made over the decades,” he said.

The program included interactive sessions where alumni and former teachers shared their memories and experiences. They also visited various academic departments and observed the university’s recent developments. A cultural evening was planned as part of the celebrations. The gathering also paid tribute to alumni and teachers who passed away in the past year.
