Naina Devi Shravan Ashtami Mela from July 25 to August 5

Bilaspur, June 25, 2025:
The annual Shravan Ashtami Mela at Shri Naina Devi Ji Temple will be held from July 25 to August 5, 2025, with traditional devotion and enthusiasm. Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar chaired a review meeting at the District Headquarters to oversee preparations and issued necessary directions to all concerned departments.
Key measures include crowd control using CCTV and crowd analytics cameras, improved traffic arrangements including a temporary bus stand at Kohni Mor, and HRTC shuttle services. The entire fair area will be divided into 9 sectors with 18 sector officers deployed.
For health and safety, six permanent and six temporary healthcare centers will operate 24×7, and an ambulance route plan has been proposed to ensure quick evacuation to AIIMS Bilaspur or Anandpur Sahib, if required.
Cleanliness and environmental sustainability are high priorities this year. Only those langar organizations following SOPs will be permitted, with online applications being accepted. A Green Mela initiative will enforce the use of biodegradable materials.
A waiting area for around 1,500 pilgrims has been prepared to streamline darshan. Departments have been directed to ensure uninterrupted water, electricity, food safety, and transportation facilities.
