IEC University & Eastman Company Organize Joint Plantation Drive on World Environment Day

Solan, 05 June 2025 – On the occasion of World Environment Day, Eastman Auto and Power Ltd. in collaboration with IEC University, Atal Shiksha Kunj, carried out a plantation drive to spread awareness against pollution and promote environmental conservation. Senior representatives from Eastman – Shri Amit Kumar Shivhare (Assistant GM, HR & Admin), Shri Raj Sehgal (Deputy Manager, HR & Admin), and Shri Arvind Goyal (Senior GM, Legal & Compliance) – participated in the initiative alongside IEC University officials.
The event aimed to highlight the significance of environmental protection and to inspire students, faculty, and the local community to adopt eco-conscious lifestyles. A special *Triveni Plantation* ceremony was held, planting three culturally and medicinally significant trees – neem, mango, and amla.
Hindustan Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh’s State Nodal Officer & Chairman Shri Rajesh Kumar announced an ambitious goal of planting 1,25,000 Triveni sets across Himachal. Event coordinator and General Secretary Dhanendra Swami emphasized the traditional and health benefits of mango, neem, and amla, encouraging plantation on occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.
IEC University Registrar Dr. Prahlad Gupta and other dignitaries were present. Students actively participated and pledged their commitment to a greener planet.
