Sports Finals, Nukkad Natak Mark Sixth Day of NSS Camp at LRB Ed. Institute, Solan

On the sixth day of the ongoing seven-day NSS camp at LRB Ed. Institute, Solan, the day commenced with the final rounds of the badminton tournament under the guidance of Assistant Professors Priyanka and Amrita. The first-year boys emerged victorious in the boys’ final, while first-year girls triumphed in the girls’ final match.
A drug awareness *nukkad natak* was staged under the supervision of Assistant Professor Bhawna. With the theme “Say No to Drugs,” the street play aimed to educate students and the community about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a message of recovery and resilience.
Principal Dr. Nisha emphasized that the National Service Scheme (NSS) was founded on the spirit of service and community participation, especially by the youth. However, she expressed concern over the increasing vulnerability of the current generation to substance abuse.
In the second session, volleyball finals were held under the supervision of Assistant Professor Suchita Thakur, where the first-year team led by student Vishal claimed victory. Later, the kabaddi final was played, and the first-year team led by Sahil Chettri emerged winners.
The event witnessed the presence of Dr. P.P. Sharma, Academic Director, Dr. R.P. Naita, former Academic Director, and Principal Dr. Nisha, who congratulated the winners and encouraged all NSS volunteers and faculty members for their active participation.
