Shimla, 14 May 2025 — A grand *Tiranga Yatra* was organised by Citizens for National Security from CTO to Sher-e-Punjab and Ridge in Shimla to express solidarity with national security forces and assert patriotism. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal were present as chief guests. The yatra witnessed active participation from trade associations, Rotary Club, Singh Sabha, and several other social organizations.
Program coordinator Bihari Lal Sharma also participated in the event. The rally resounded with slogans in support of the armed forces, symbolizing the people’s unwavering commitment to national security.
Addressing the media, Jairam Thakur declared, *“Today’s India wants peace but is ready to go to any extent to eliminate terrorism. Terror and talk cannot go together. Terror and trade hypocrisy will no longer be tolerated.”* He emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has made it clear that nuclear threats will no longer be tolerated and that any future dialogue with Pakistan would only concern Pakistan-occupied Kashmir or total eradication of terrorism.
Thakur termed *Operation Sindoor* as a pledge of justice and national honor, not merely a military operation. He praised the Modi government for targeting and destroying terror hubs like Jaish, Lashkar, and Hizbul inside Pakistan.
Dr. Rajeev Bindal added that Pakistan prepared for border attacks, but India struck deep within its heart. He stated that India’s air defense system has proven its strength by neutralizing enemy drones and missiles mid-air. He called Operation Sindoor a global revelation of Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism, especially when top military officials attended funerals of slain terrorists.
