New Delhi/Shimla, April 24, 2025:
Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur reaffirmed that the Modi government has always upheld a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and naxalism. He emphasized that the government is fully capable of giving a befitting reply to enemies of the nation.
He said, “Since the formation of the government 11 years ago, PM Narendra Modi has maintained a firm stance against terrorism. Following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the Prime Minister made it clear that the conspirators will face a punishment beyond their imagination. From Bihar, PM Modi gave a global message — India will track and punish terrorists and their supporters, wherever they may be. The entire nation of 140 crore Indians stands united with the PM in this fight.”
Thakur further added, “Within 24 hours of the Pahalgam attack, PM Modi chaired a high-level meeting where five major decisions were taken to teach Pakistan a lesson. These include suspending the 65-year-old Indus Water Treaty, closing the Attari check post, halting Pakistani visa issuance, reducing staff at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, and recalling India’s military, navy, and air advisors from Pakistan. Past actions like the surgical and air strikes have already proven India’s resolve to retaliate strongly against any threat to its sovereignty.”
