Women Excel in Every Field, Modi Government Committed to Empowerment: Jairam

Shimla, March 8: Addressing an event by BJP Mahila Morcha at Kalibari, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur emphasized the Modi government’s commitment to women’s empowerment. He highlighted initiatives like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and Nari Vandan Law, ensuring women’s participation in governance.

He praised women’s achievements in various sectors, noting that in many events he attended, top performers were overwhelmingly female. He recalled past societal biases against daughters and stressed the need to eliminate discrimination.

Thakur also mentioned initiatives launched during his tenure, including subsidized loans for women entrepreneurs, free LPG connections, and travel concessions. He reiterated the Modi government’s focus on women’s upliftment through schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and Mudra Yojana. The event also honored women for their achievements.
