Law and Order Deteriorating in Himachal: Jairam Thakur

Mandi, March 4, 2025 – Leader of Opposition and former CM Jairam Thakur has accused the Congress government of failing on law and order, citing 18 murders and multiple rape cases in just two months. He vowed to raise the issue in the upcoming Budget Session.

Thakur criticized CM Sukhu and Dy. CM Agnihotri, alleging that despite attending the Mahakumbh, their anti-Sanatan mindset remains unchanged. He slammed the government for diverting temple funds for administrative expenses, calling it a first in the state’s history. He also accused the government of step-motherly treatment towards Mandi, citing false promises on the Shiv Dham project.

The BJP plans to strongly challenge the government in the Assembly.
