CBI Arrests Senior TRAI Official for Accepting ₹1 Lakh Bribe in Himachal’s Sirmaur

In a major anti-corruption operation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a senior official of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh from a cable operator in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh.

The arrest came after a complaint was filed against the official, accusing him of demanding the bribe to overlook regulatory violations. Acting swiftly, the CBI laid a trap and caught the official red-handed while accepting the bribe.
