Shimla : Tailor Found Dead In Sabzi Mandi

Shimla, December 12:Amidst the ongoing cold wave in Shimla district, a third death due to extreme cold has been reported. The incident occurred in the Sabzi Mandi area under the Sadar Police Station. A tailor identified as Surinder Kumar, a native of Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh, was found unresponsive by locals in the early morning.

Police were alerted and promptly rushed him to IGMC hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors. Initial investigations suggest the cause of death was hypothermia.

According to police, Surinder had been residing in Shimla for several years, working as a tailor. His family members have been informed based on contacts retrieved from his mobile phone. Following their consent, a post-mortem was conducted at IGMC hospital. Authorities are awaiting the arrival of the deceased’s family for further details.

This marks the third such incident in Shimla this winter, raising concerns about the harsh cold and its impact on vulnerable individuals.
