2 min read

The Enkindle Club at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) successfully hosted a 3-day Robotic Arm Workshop from November 15th to 17th, 2024. Designed for students of various batches, the workshop provided an inclusive and hands-on learning experience, allowing participants to explore the core principles of robotics, including design, assembly, and programming of robotic arms.

Each day started with theoretical sessions on robotics fundamentals such as mechanical structures, kinematics, and dynamics. Following the lectures, students engaged in practical activities, assembling robotic arms with provided kits and learning to use sensors, actuators, and controllers. Under expert guidance, participants programmed their robots for precise movements, culminating in demonstrations of their functional robotic arms. The interactive sessions fostered discussions, enabling students to share ideas and insights gained during the workshop.

The success of the event was made possible through the efforts of the organizing team, including Dr. Aman Sharma and Dr. Anita Sardana from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), with lab assistance from Mr. Pramod Kumar, Mr. Dheerendra Kumar, and Mr. Deep Narayan Tripathi. The Enkindle Club extends its gratitude to university leadership, including Prof. R.K. Sharma (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Ashok Kumar Gupta (Dean of Academics and Research), and Prof. Vivek Sehgal (HoD, CSE), for their continued support. Special thanks were also extended to the student coordinators for their hard work and dedication.

The workshop provided valuable exposure to robotics, enhancing technical skills and inspiring students to pursue more advanced projects in the future. Enkindle Club aims to continue fostering innovation and excellence in STEM fields at JUIT by organizing similar events in the future.
