BJP’s Vivek Sharma Accuses Congress of Betraying Himachal’s Trust with Unfulfilled Promises

In Solan, BJP spokesperson Vivek Sharma has sharply criticized the Congress government, equating its failed guarantees to a betrayal of the people of Himachal Pradesh. He likened the situation to the mythological tale of Lord Shiva being tricked by the demon Bhairavasura. Sharma emphasized that Congress’s promises, including one lakh jobs per year and empowering women economically, have not materialized, leaving many young people waiting for employment while jobs have been cut across various departments. He noted that over 10,000 outsourcing employees were dismissed and more than 1,200 institutions have been closed under the current government. Sharma expressed concern over the state’s financial management, pointing out that significant funds for rural development and disaster relief have lapsed. He concluded by questioning the government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens, implying that its leadership is more focused on preserving its power than delivering on its promises.
