APG Shimla University Shines at Hospitality Ensemble

Secures 9th Position Nationally
Shimla, October 29: APG Shimla University’s Hospitality and Hotel & Tourism Management students have brought pride to their institution with an outstanding performance at the prestigious 23rd Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble. This national competition, held from October 23 to 25, 2024, at Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in New Delhi, saw participation from 30 colleges across India.
In the three-day event, which included 14 categories such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service, and Production, APG Shimla students excelled by achieving notable placements. They secured 4th place in the ‘Khoj Startup’ category, 3rd place in the ‘Mavi’ category, and 4th in the Flower Arrangement competition, ultimately ranking 9th among all participating colleges.
Chetan Mehta, Head of the School of Hospitality and Hotel & Tourism Management, praised the students’ hard work, dedication, and skill, which earned them this prestigious position on a national platform. APG Shimla University Management, including Chancellor Engineer Suman Vikrant, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Chauhan, Vice-Chancellor Dr. R.S. Chauhan, and Registrar Dr. Ankit Thakur, congratulated the students and faculty for this remarkable achievement, emphasizing the importance of such competitions for a strong career foundation.
