Shoolini University and NIT Hamirpur host pre-conference Poster presentation

The Yogananda School of Artificial Intelligence, Computers, and Data Science, Shoolini University, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, organised a Poster Presentation as a pre-event for the upcoming International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction and Cognitive Computing (HCICC-25), scheduled from January 8, 2025.
The event featured 15 teams from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Telangana. These student teams, accompanied by their faculty supervisors, showcased innovative ideas aligned with the conference’s theme. Their presentations aimed at solving societal challenges and promoting sustainable solutions.
The poster presentation concluded with the announcement of winners, recognising exceptional contributions from participants. Mr. Piyush Thakur, Project Associate at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, secured the first position. The second position was awarded to Ms. Kajal Banyal, Faculty at MMU Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Mr. Kartikey Sharma and Ms. Rajdeep Rana, students from Shoolini University, jointly achieved the third position for their outstanding work.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Pankaj Vaidya, General Chair of HCICC-25 and Head of Computer Applications at Shoolini University.
Dr. Babu Sundaram, Associate Dean of the School of Engineering, Shoolini University, and Dr. Ripin Kohli, Session Chair for the Pre-Poster Presentation and Dean of Research and Consultancy at Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology, Amritsar, Punjab also shared their views on the theme.
Dr. Sundaram praised the initiative taken by the Yogananda School of AI for organising both the poster presentation and the upcoming international conference, reinforcing the importance of student involvement in research activities.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Arvind Sharma, Convenor of HCICC-25, who acknowledged the efforts of all participants, faculty supervisors, and organising members.
