Announces BJP’s Statewide “Run for Unity” Event in Himachal Pradesh
Shimla: BJP state president Dr. Rajeev Bindal criticized the Congress party for sidelining Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to keep the Nehru-Gandhi family in power. Dr. Bindal claimed that this marginalization led to lasting issues for the country, including the prolonged conflict in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and the loss of thousands of soldiers. As India approaches the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel on October 31, Dr. Bindal highlighted Patel’s crucial role in uniting India post-independence and asserted that many national issues arose when his leadership was restricted.
In honor of Sardar Patel’s legacy, the BJP will hold a statewide “Run for Unity” on October 29 across Himachal Pradesh. The event, organized under the leadership of BJP state general secretary Trilok Kapoor and Youth Wing president Tilak Raj, aims to inspire patriotism and unity among the youth. Dr. Bindal also emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to honor Patel, including the installation of his statue in Gujarat as a tribute to his contributions to the nation.
