THDC India Limited Successfully Concludes 5th Uttarakhand State-Level Yogasana Sports Competition 2024
1 min readRishikesh, October 27, 2024: The three-day 5th Uttarakhand State-Level Yogasana Sports Competition 2024, organized by THDC India Limited in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Yogasana Sports Association and Dehradun District Yogasana Sports Association, concluded today at THDC’s Corporate Office in Rishikesh. The event brought together nearly 300 participants from across the country, showcasing their yogic skills in various categories, with winners being awarded for their outstanding performances.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Director (Personnel), THDCIL, who commended the participants for their dedication and highlighted the significance of yoga in addressing modern lifestyle challenges such as stress, substance abuse, and unhealthy habits. He emphasized that yoga is not just a fitness practice but a pathway to mental clarity, resilience, and overall well-being.
The event aimed to foster a healthier society through yoga, reflecting THDC’s ongoing commitment to promoting community well-being and holistic development. Winners like Pushpa Shah (Women’s category), Shashaank Sharma and Piyanshu (Senior Boys category), and Shristee Roy and Palak Sahu (Senior Girls category) were celebrated for their achievements.
This initiative aligns with the global movement towards embracing yoga, following the United Nations’ recognition of International Yoga Day, and THDC’s efforts to promote socio-economic development in Uttarakhand.
