CPS chairs ambassadors meet for International Kullu Dussehra
1 min readAn Ambassadors Meet to discuss the participation of various countries in the International Kullu Dussehra was organized in New Delhi last evening. The meeting was chaired by Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) Sunder Singh Thakur.
CPS informed that 21 countries will be participating in this year’s International Kullu Dussehra Festival. He said that Ambassadors, Excellencies and Heads of Mission from various countries will meet Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on 18th October, 2024 in Kullu to hold bilateral talks on various points of interest. Artisans from these countries will set up stalls and cultural troupes will showcase their folk dances at the International Folk Dance Festival thus promoting cultural exchange & foster harmony goodwill and understanding besides giving boost to trade and business.
He also briefed diplomats and representatives of various embassies about the event’s preparedness, including logistics and travel support being extended to them for their participation in Dussehra.
Principal Resident Commissioner S.K. Singla provided an overview of the event, while DDG Indian Council for Cultural Relations Amit Mathur contributed valuable inputs.
The representatives of the embassies expressed their gratitude to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for its support in previous years. Conservator of Forests Neeraj Chaddha along with diplomats and embassy representatives attended the meeting.
