Women should take these nutrients daily to improve fertility: Dr Chanchal Sharma

A sedentary lifestyle and poor diet can affect your fertility. A couple’s fertility is very important to get the happiness of parenthood, but every person’s fertility is different, due to which some people face more difficulties than a normal couple in having children. The problem of infertility can occur in one or both men and women.

Dr. Chanchal Sharma, Director of Asha Ayurveda and Fertility Expert says in this matter that the cause of infertility can be different in both men and women. Infertility in women can be caused by tubal blockage, PCOD, thyroid, endometriosis, hormonal disorders, low AMH, etc. Pregnancy is often difficult due to age. If a couple tries to conceive after the age of 35, then they have to face problems because gradually your fertility starts decreasing with age. That’s why experts recommend that you plan children before the age of 35.

Dr Chanchal Sharma shares some of the nutrients that you can add to your diet to improve your fertility:

Beans and lentils: Beans and lentils are rich in protein and fibre, which help balance hormones and improve digestion. It improves your fertility and improves your ovulation.

Ashtari: Folic acid is very important for women who want to become a mother. Asparagus is an Ayurvedic herb that contains a good amount of folic acid. The antioxidant properties in it also help in improving the quality of your eggs.

Eggs: Eggs contain omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins that are very important to improve your fertility, so experts recommend eating eggs.

Avocado: The vitamin K present in avocado works to absorb all the essential nutrients present in your body. This improves the condition of your uterus and ultimately improves your fertility.

Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps in improving the quality of your eggs, so you can strengthen your uterus by consuming citrus fruits like oranges, amla, etc. It creates a good environment for pregnancy.

Green leafy vegetables: These vegetables are considered a good source of iron, folate, and calcium, which are essential for improving the quality of your eggs, regular menstruation, and the overall development of the baby’s brain in the womb.

Chickpeas: Beetroot is a fruit that helps in increasing blood flow in the body and provides a healthy environment to the uterus which improves fertility and helps in conceiving.
