Shimla, September 14, 2024 – The Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) has marked a significant achievement in its golden jubilee year by earning an accreditation with a ‘Uttam’ rating from the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, and the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET). The evaluation was conducted on September 12th and 13th, 2024.

The accreditation is based on eight pillars of excellence, assessing civil services training institutions across various ministries and establishments nationwide. This prestigious recognition places HIPA among an elite group of approximately 150 accredited institutes across India, setting a benchmark for excellence in public administration training.

On this occasion, Director General Ms. Nisha Singh, IAS, applauded the efforts of the HIPA team, stating that the accreditation reflects the institute’s dedication to excellence, innovation, and high-quality training standards in public administration.

Established in 1974, HIPA is located on a 5-acre campus at Fairlawns, near Mashobra. The institute provides comprehensive training for IAS, HAS, and HPFAS officers in Himachal Pradesh, along with induction and refresher courses for officers from both Central and State Governments.
