Congress Government Fully Blamed in Debt Case: Chaudhary

2 min read

Shimla, BJP parliamentary area in-charge and MLA Sukhram Chaudhary said that the government has been fully blamed in the debt case. He stated that the government brought white papers on loans in the house and through this, the truth came out that the debt in the state is the legacy of Congress governments, and then Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhoo started taking loans one after another. Development halted, roads, electricity, water, development works stopped. Schools, colleges, hospitals, primary health centers, offices closed only to take enormous loans. Chaudhary said that the Congress government led by Sukhwinder Singh Sukhoo in Himachal is again preparing to drink the ghee of debt and is constantly drinking ghee. The state government took a loan of Rs 500 crore in just the month of July. In this way, Rs 3,400 crore will be in a month. Taking so much debt in a month is a big question in itself. He said the government is trying to fulfill only the general expenses of the state by taking loans, the question is where will the government give arrears and DA to employees. Himachal Pradesh is badly stuck in the debt trap. The expenditure on salaries and pensions of government employees is continuously increasing. The state government needs Rs 9,000 crore for the remaining payments of the new pay commission. It is alarming that retired employees and pensioners are also going to the High Court for their financial dues. Orders are being issued from the courts for the payment of arrears and pensions in many cases against the state government. Not only this, orders are being issued to pay the amount with interest. In such a situation, the financial crisis of the government is deepening. Recently, in one case, when the state government mentioned a poor financial crisis in the High Court, the court said bluntly that payment will have to be made in any case.
