Rajiv Rana Campaigns Door-to-Door for Congress Candidate Kamlesh Thakur in Dehra
1 min readShimla: Rajiv Rana, the state chairman of the Workers and Employees Congress and in-charge of Dehra Assembly, has been actively campaigning for Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur. Holding street meetings and going door-to-door in the Bihan ward, Rana sought votes for Thakur. He expressed his confidence in Thakur’s victory, stating that the immense support and affection shown by the people of Dehra towards their “daughter” Kamlesh Thakur indicate a landslide win.
Rana highlighted the achievements of the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government, citing initiatives like the Old Pension Scheme, the ₹1500 Pyari Behna Samman Nidhi, ₹4500 crore in disaster relief, and the establishment of Dehra as an SP district. He also mentioned the multi-crore zoo project, emphasizing that these efforts prove the Congress government is dedicated to public welfare. Rana assured that Thakur’s victory would further accelerate Dehra’s development.
Criticizing independent candidate Hoshiar Singh, Rana accused him of betraying the trust of Dehra’s people for personal gain. He claimed that Singh’s alliance with BJP, particularly the mining mafia, has only served his interests, neglecting the electorate. Rana asserted that the people of Dehra have decided to reject Hoshiar Singh and the BJP candidate, who have caused internal strife within their own party.
Joining Rajiv Rana in the campaign were Dr. Pushpinder Sharma, Shaurya Thakur, ward member Ankit Kumar, Vishal Rana, Ashwani Kumar Seth, Subedar Dinesh Rana, and other local leaders.
