State Fully Prepared for Monsoon Challenges
1 min readShimla, June 28– Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu assured the media that the state government is fully prepared to tackle any potential disaster-related challenges during the monsoon season. He emphasized that effective measures have been implemented at various levels, with all departments instructed to remain vigilant and responsive to emergencies.
The Chief Minister highlighted the proactive role of the Disaster Management Authority, which is working in coordination with various departments to ensure the implementation of preventive measures. Adequate manpower and machinery have been deployed at identified vulnerable locations, along with regular mock drills and disaster management training for field staff and officials.
CM Sukhu also mentioned that regular meetings on disaster preparedness have been conducted with district administrations. He urged the public to exercise caution and avoid venturing near rivers and rivulets during the monsoon season to ensure their safety.
