Water Crisis Deepens in the State: Government Should Take Effective Measures

Leader of Opposition Attended Legislative Assembly Meeting, Various Issues Discussed

Shimla: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur stated in a press release from Shimla that the code of conduct has been lifted from the state. Therefore, there are no restrictions on the government to carry out any development works. Hence, the government should now commence the development projects that have been stalled for one and a half years. Since the Congress came to power, all development works have been halted. Projects in hospitals and schools have been stopped. The work on roads and bridges is on hold. Debris on the roads from disasters has not been cleared, causing great inconvenience to people. He emphasized that the government should now work seriously on public welfare issues and fulfill its election promises.

Jairam Thakur mentioned that the water crisis is deepening across the state. Every day, there are news reports of disrupted water supply, causing problems for the common people. The government should work seriously and take effective steps to ensure regular water supply to the people so that the water supply in the state is not disrupted.

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur congratulated the National President of BJP, Jagat Prakash Nadda, on taking charge of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He expressed his best wishes and stated that the current term will achieve historic accomplishments in the health sector just like the previous term.
