Himachal Pradesh’s Mahak Chandel Makes it to Miss England 2024 Finals

Una, April 11: Mahak Chandel, a daughter of Himachal Pradesh, has made it to the grand finale of Miss England 2024, potentially becoming the first Himachali woman to achieve this feat. Her participation in the beauty pageant has brought a new identity to Himachal Pradesh in the world of beauty. Originally hailing from the Chintpurni region, Mahak Chandel has showcased her talent on the international stage multiple times.

The grand finale of Miss England 2024 is scheduled to take place in London on May 16th and 17th.

Mahak Chandel is among the finalists selected after several rounds of competition, where around eight thousand English women participated. Mahak’s father, Anil Chandel, is a businessman in London, while her mother, Indarpal Ohri Chandel, is a mathematics professor at a college in London, actively involved in social service.

With a deep connection to Himachali culture, 21-year-old Mahak Chandel was born in South Hall, London, and is the eldest among three siblings. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and is currently working with an organization that focuses on school children. Apart from modeling, she has also actively engaged in social service, successfully running campaigns to raise funds for the needy.

Mahak believes that beauty should not only be about external appearance but also about one’s thoughts and ideas. She advocates for using beauty positively and creatively, emphasizing the importance of inner beauty. She is dedicated to charity work, particularly for cancer patients, and has initiated campaigns to raise funds for them. She aspires to pursue a postgraduate degree in psychology in the future.
