Shimla: Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh has stated that the BJP is speaking with arrogance due to its wealth, and the people of Himachal Pradesh are witnessing the pride of BJP leaders. He said that through the power of wealth, BJP leaders are making unsuccessful attempts to destabilize the Himachal Pradesh government. By indulging in horse-trading, the BJP made six Congress MLAs cross-vote in the elections for Rajya Sabha seats and then conspired to topple the popular government.
He said that the true face of the BJP has now been revealed to the people of the state, and now it is widely known that the BJP was behind this entire conspiracy. BJP leaders are arrogant, but Congress has the support of the people, and we are fully confident that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the by-elections for six assembly seats, the people will give a fitting reply to the BJP. He said that during the tenure of the present government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukh, the current state government has formulated schemes for the welfare of every section.
Anirudh Singh said that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur is engaged in insulting the culture of Himachal Pradesh in the greed for power. The people of Himachal Pradesh are not for sale, while Jairam Thakur is determining the value of public opinion based on money. He said that the people of the state know that after cross-voting, the rebellious MLAs were first sent to Chandigarh under tight security by the Central Reserve Police Force. Then they were kept in expensive five-star hotels for a month. They were taken on helicopter and chartered plane rides, and all these expenses were borne by the BJP.
Now BJP leaders are afraid to admit their sins in front of the people of the state, whereas the reality is in front of the people of the state, and their sins are known to the people of the state. The Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj said that the people of the state will teach traitors a lesson. They have insulted the sentiments of the people of their electoral area. Their defeat is certain, and they will receive punishment for selling their conscience in every way.
