DC launches needs assessment survey for elderly

Dharamshala, 12 December. Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal today launched the need assessment survey for home health assistance to the elderly on Thursday. He launched this campaign for the elderly under the Sehat Seva Abhiyan on the occasion of Universal Health Coverage Day.

He honored 12 Aapda Mitras who came from different areas of the district.

He praised them for their post-disaster services and the special work they do for the elderly. He asked the Aapda Mitras to become volunteers in the health service campaign and take seriously the work of universal health coverage started for the elderly.

He said that the district administration has started a pilot project in which eligible and capable young women can join the health service campaign as volunteers. She said that under this, they can take a one-year diploma to become social enterprise based self-employed volunteers in their Panchayats. He appealed to all citizens to contribute to this universal health coverage mission.
