State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section organises ‘Deepawali Milan’ program

Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section organised a “Deepawali Milan” program here today. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, also the chairperson of the Hospital Welfare Section, presided over the programme.

The program was organised with an objective to promote women empowerment. With an aim of ‘Vocal for Local’, seven stalls containing products manufactured by Self-Help Groups, were set up for the sale at the occasion. Hand-made food items and artificial jewellery were the main attractions among the stalls. Cultural activities and various sports competitions were also organized at the occasion and the winners were also rewarded.
