HC Rai Centenary ArtFest Inaugurated in Shimla

The HC Rai Centenary ArtFest, a grand celebration of art and culture, was inaugurated by Shri MC Saxena, accompanied by Shri HC Rai’s first student, SN Kushawa. This distinguished event was graced by the presence of prominent figures such as Director Language & Culture, Dr. Pankaj Lalit, Shri SN Joshi, Shri Jawahar Lal Sharma, and Smt. Bharti Khuthiala, among many other renowned artists.

This ArtFest is a five-day extravaganza, and over the next four days, you will have the opportunity to witness more than 300 magnificent artworks by Shri HC Rai. Additionally, young students will have a chance to learn from experienced artists, gaining valuable perspectives for their own work. A touching tribute was paid to Shri HC Rai by his former students and noted artist Shri Him Chatterjee.

An exciting workshop and competition for school students are scheduled to be held tomorrow, commencing at 10 AM. This event promises to be a remarkable celebration of art and a wonderful opportunity for budding artists to learn from the masters.
