Himachal Pradesh to Recruit 550 PGT Teachers

New Selection Commission to Begin Work in November

Himachal Pradesh is set to recruit 550 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in the near future. Education Minister Rohit Thakur announced this during a press interaction at the Secretariat. The recruitment process for 550 PGT teachers has been sent to the selection commission. The new state selection commission will commence its work in November.

Minister Rohit Thakur also highlighted that the central government provided only verbal assistance during the disaster period, without extending any financial aid to the state. He emphasized that not a single penny was received from the central government. However, the state government fulfilled its commitment by implementing the old pension scheme and assured that all other promises would also be fulfilled.

Regarding the state’s financial management, Education Minister Rohit Thakur mentioned that the Jairam government had managed the finances well, but there are still thousands of vacant positions in the state. He further stated that large-scale recruitment has not occurred in the state’s history.
