Himachal Pradesh Government’s Policy on Outsourcing and Employment

The government of Himachal Pradesh employs outsourcing and temporary employment in various departments as per the Himachal Pradesh Financial Rules-2009. These outsourced services are usually for a specific period and are extended as per requirements. The principal employer of outsourced employees is the service provider.

This information was provided by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in a written response to a question from BJP MLA Prakash Rana from Jogindernagar.

In his question, BJP MLA Prakash Rana had inquired whether it is true that the previous government had provided employment to people through outsourcing in various departments, but the current government has terminated their services. He also asked whether the government is considering re-employing them in these departments. If not, he sought an explanation for this decision.
