Himachal Pradesh Government to Launch Him Unnati Scheme for Agricultural Development

*Solan, September 25:* The Himachal Pradesh government is set to launch the Him Unnati Scheme to encourage farmers to adopt new technologies for increasing crop yields. Under this scheme, clusters for cereals, vegetables, fruits, flowers, and cash crops, as well as natural farming, will be established in the state. This was announced by the Health Minister, Dr. Dhaniram Shandil, at the conclusion of a two-day farmer’s fair held in the Nauni Panchayat.

He emphasized the importance of making farmers aware of new agricultural techniques through events like the farmer’s fair. During the event, the Health Minister inaugurated a community service center constructed at a cost of 5 lakhs in the Majhgannav village of Nauni Panchayat. He also announced a grant of 5 lakhs for the construction of the commercial complex of Nauni Panchayat.

Additionally, 2 lakhs were approved for the refurbishment of the Ambulance route for atomic transport. The Health Minister honored the winning team of the Kabaddi competition, the team from Panipat, Haryana, with a cash prize of 21,000 rupees and a trophy. The program also featured cultural performances by artists from the Information and Public Relations Department and local schoolchildren.

Distinguished individuals present at the event included Jogindra Cooperative Bank Chairman Mukesh Sharma, Solan Block Congress Committee President Sanjeev Thakur, Nauni Panchayat Pradhan Madan Himachali, Shamrod Panchayat Pradhan Nand Ram, Nauni Panchayat Up-Pradhan Hardev Thakur, and Farmer Fair Committee President Jogindra Singh, along with other dignitaries.
