Increase in Bike Theft Cases in Una Prompts Police Investigation

Una, September 24: A gang of bike thieves has become active in the Una district. Cases of bike and scooter thefts from various locations have been reported to the police. The police have registered cases based on both complaints and initiated investigations.

The first case occurred near the old bus stand on the Hamirpur Road, Una, where a bike was stolen. According to Vishal, a resident of Vishal Niwas, he had parked his bike on Hamirpur Road, Una, on Saturday morning. A short while later, when he returned to collect his bike, it was nowhere to be found. The police have been informed of this incident.

The second case is from the Regional Hospital in Una, where another bike theft occurred. Ashok Kumar, a resident of Nangal, lodged a complaint with the police. He stated that on August 30, he had come to the government hospital in Una with his son Vishal Saini on his bike. He parked his motorbike outside the hospital. When he returned some time later, the bike was missing. Despite searching for it extensively, he couldn’t find any trace of it. As a result, Ashok Kumar filed a complaint with the police about the stolen bike. Una Superintendent of Police, Arjit Sen, confirmed that the police have initiated an investigation based on the complaints received.
