Ghumarvi: Son Assaults Father for Refusing Money to Buy Chitta
1 min readIn the legislative assembly area of Ghumarvi, a modern-day son brutally assaulted his father for not giving him money to buy chitta (drugs). Upon the father’s complaint, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
The victim, who had retired from his position as a Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), narrated that he was walking on the road in the morning when suddenly, his son appeared in front of him. The son blocked his path and demanded money. When the money was not provided, he resorted to physical violence. The distressed father explained that his son had mercilessly beaten him, causing severe injuries, particularly on his arms. He further revealed that his son is addicted to narcotics and often demands money for drugs. There are frequent quarrels in the house due to this.
According to the father, his son not only demands money but also issues threats to harm him if his demands are not met. The officer in charge of the Bharadi police station, Devanand, mentioned that a case has been registered against the son based on the father’s complaint. An investigation is currently underway to probe the matter.
