International Authors’ Meet and Honor in Nepal: Four Writers from Himachal Pradesh to be Recognized

Kullu, September 11: The Northeast Hindi Academy in Shillong is organizing an International Authors’ Meet and Honor in memory of the renowned founder of Shubh Tarika magazine, Dr. Maharaj Krishna Jain, based on the theme of love and harmony from September 22 to 24 in Janakpur Dham, Madheshpur, Nepal.

Dr. Akela Bhai, the Secretary of the Northeast Hindi Academy, revealed that as is customary every year, the 16th International Authors’ Meet and Honor in memory of Dr. Maharaj Krishna Jain will see the participation of 89 authors from across the country.

Four writers from Himachal Pradesh will be part of this event in Nepal, including Surat Ram Thakur from Kullu, Pratap Singh Arnot from Bilaspur, Ratn Chand Nirjhar from Vilaspur, and Ranjodh Singh from Nalagarh.

He explained that every year, the Dr. Maharaj Krishna Jain Smriti Samman (Memorial Award) is given for outstanding literary work in the field of literature and Hindi writing during the National Writers’ Workshop. These four writers from Himachal Pradesh participating in the International Authors’ Meet and Honor will be recognized and honored.

Secretary Akela Bhai further mentioned that the event’s inauguration will be attended by the Chief Minister of Nepal, Saroj Kumar Yadav, as the chief guest, while renowned author and editor Shubh Tarika Ambala Cantonment, Urmil Krishan Jain, will serve as the session chair. The event will also include book launches and magazine releases by participating authors.”
