Abhilashi University Celebrates World Physiotherapy Day: Focus on Inflammatory Arthritis

This global occasion serves to shed light on the theme set by the World Confederation Of Physical Therapy (WCPT), “Inflammatory Arthritis,” with a comprehensive examination of various forms of inflammatory arthritis, including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis.
The day’s festivities at Abhilashi University were marked by active participation from both faculty and students of the School of Physiotherapy. They engaged in a poster-making competition, aerobic fitness dance, and a skit that revolved around the theme of World Physiotherapy Day. The winners of the poster-making competition had the honor of receiving awards from the esteemed Vice-Chancellor.
The event was graced by the presence and blessings of the Honorable Chancellor, Dr. R.K. Abhilashi. Distinguished guests included Dr. L.K. Abhilashi, Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Promila Abhilashi, Vice-Chairperson of AES Abhilashi University, Vice-Chancellor Professor H.S. Banyal, Registrar Dr. Kapil, and the Head of the Department, Dr. Vivek Chauhan. Additionally, Dr. D.K. Mishra, Dean of the School of Ayurveda, and Dr. Devender Sharma, DSWC, were the Guests of Honor, accompanied by other deans and heads of departments from Abhilashi University.
Faculty members, together with students, commemorated the occasion by delivering presentations that emphasized the theme’s significance and the critical role of physiotherapy in managing inflammatory arthritis. The dignitaries and guests present in the hall wholeheartedly applauded the students’ dedicated efforts.
