Indian Railways Embraces Modern Technology for Nationwide Rail Route Development and Passenger Safety

Indian Railways has taken a significant step towards constructing rail routes using modern technology and ensuring passenger safety across the country. An example of this can be seen in the ongoing construction of the Bhairupalli-Bilaspur-Beri railway line between Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

On this railway route, near Swarighat, an extensive tunnel is being constructed, which also includes an escape tunnel alongside it, ensuring passenger safety. This escape tunnel will serve as a means to provide assistance in case of emergencies, allowing vehicles such as trains, ambulances, or maintenance teams to access the tunnel and provide aid if needed.

This initiative showcases Indian Railways’ commitment to embracing innovative techniques and advanced infrastructure to enhance passenger safety and ensure efficient transportation services throughout the country.
