CEDSA Direct Selling Conclave hosted at Shoolini University
3 min readSolan, August 30 – Shoolini University hosted the 2nd Centre of Excellence for Direct Selling in Academics (CEDSA) Direct Selling Conclave, a significant event that united industry leaders, visionaries, and future professionals in a dynamic exchange of insights and perspectives within the realm of Direct Selling.
The conclave organised by CEDSA, was a catalyst for fostering education, research, and ethical standards within the Direct Selling sector.
CEDSA was established as a cornerstone for cultivating education and research within Direct Selling. The conclave, designed to be a collaborative platform, brought together industry stakeholders to share knowledge and underscore ethical conduct in the field. The conclave was attended by Prof PK Khosla, Chancellor, Shoolini University, Ashish Khosla, President of Marketing and Innovation at Shoolini University, Kamal Kanth Vashishth, Director of CEDSA at Shoolini University, TC Chhabra, founder and Managing Director of Fashion Suitings Pvt. Ltd, (RCM); Rajeev Gupta, Vice President of FDSA and Director of ARL Retails Pvt. Ltd.; Vivek Katoch, Corporate Affairs and Public Policy Director (Asia) at Oriflame Cosmetics and Vice Chairman of IDSA. Other guests included Dr. Surekha Bhargava, renowned direct selling leader and top modicare Aachiever; Shivam Goswami, Direct selling youth icon and key leader at Vestige; Chetan Bhardwaj, Industry Expert; Surender Vats, key leader at RCM and executive member of FDSA; Kunal and Shelja Kamra, iconic business couple; Rahul and Yamini Sharma, founders of Direct Selling now News channel.
The conclave acted as a platform for sharing diverse experiences, insightful perspectives, and innovative ideas within the realm of Direct Selling. Discussions encompassed ethical sales practices, strategic success formulas, the evolution of Direct Selling, and the crucial role of academia in nurturing a responsible and profitable Direct Selling ecosystem.
Ashish Khosla, President of Marketing and Innovation at Shoolini University, extended a welcome to attendees and shared his personal journey within the sales industry. Kamal Kant Vashishth, Director of CEDSA at Shoolini University, introduced the conclave’s objectives, CEDSA’s philosophy, and the captivating agenda.
TC Chhabra, founder and Managing Director of RCM, expressed his enthusiasm for participating in the event. He lauded Chancellor PK Khosla’s vision in establishing the university and promoting Direct Selling in academic settings. Rajeev Gupta, Vice President of FDSA and Director of ARL Retails Pvt. Ltd., explored the potential of offering guest faculty from FDSA to Shoolini University for Direct Selling courses. Vivek Katoch, Corporate Affairs and Public Policy Director (Asia) at Oriflame Cosmetics and Vice Chairman of IDSA, underscored the significance of ethical sales practices and operational ethics.
Dr. Surekha Bhargava, a well-known figure in Direct Selling, emphasised the pivotal role of patience in achieving success. She shared insights on diverse aspects of success, encompassing positive visualization, effective time management, continuous learning, unwavering dedication, and resilience.
Shivam Goswami unveiled his journey while presenting three invaluable pieces of advice: delineating specific goals, instilling job-like discipline, and nurturing self-discipline. Chetan Bhardwaj took the stage, offering a treasure trove of insights about the Direct Selling industry.
Chancellor PK Khosla of Shoolini University took center stage, conferring the Rudraksha award upon TC Chhabra, Vivek Katoch, Rajeev Gupta, and Surekha Bhargava.
